Daniel Cormier shares the secret to never getting submitted

In a momentous occasion, UFC has inducted two of its most iconic stars, Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov, into the Modern Wing of its Hall of Fame. Cormier and Nurmagomedov are not only two of the most talented champions in the world but are also known for their unique bond and friendship.

Former Two-Weight Champion Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier, a former U.S. Olympic wrestler from Lafayette, Louisiana, is a former two-weight champion in the UFC. Cormier (19-3) won the 205-pound championship in 2015 and later became the heavyweight champ in 2018. Despite failing to defeat former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in two separate occasions in 2015 and 2017, Cormier cemented his legacy as one of the greatest in UFC history.

Despite training with some of the greatest submission artists in the UFC – Cormier’s never been submitted

Cormier recently discussed a unique feature that makes him resistant to submissions. Cormier’s cohost Ryan Clark recently inquired: “Do you know why you’ve never been submitted? And I was looking at this as we were preparing for the show. Bro. You ain’t got no neck. ”

Cormier responded: “I’m like little monsters in the video game with his shoulders up right by the ear. That’s me. I have no neck. I don’t get submitted – my arms, bro. I have shorter arms than lightweights. Like, what do you. How are you going to armbar me? What are you going to arm like? “
