(Video) Jesus impersonator Brawls at Carnival

The vibrant Sao Paulo carnival witnessed an unexpected drama. A man dressed as Jesus Christ found himself in a surprising confrontation.

Luis Felipe Andrade Amaral was attending the carnival with friends. He had a startling encounter with a shirtless man who began to harass him.

The scene was captured on video and shows the shirtless man kicking and attempting to punch Luis. However, Luis quickly retaliates. He ends up landing a punch on his attacker’s chin and causing him to stumble.

Luis was wearing a white robe, red cape, and large crucifix. Despite having consumed more wine than water, maintained his composure and defended himself effectively.

The video opens in the growing streets of Sao Paulo during the carnival. Luis is seen trying to fix his flip-flop when a shirtless, tattooed man with raised fists approaches.

With the shirtless man advancing, Luis skillfully deflects his punches and kicks. The assailant then attempts to gain the upper hand by jumping onto a kerb for a height advantage. A web designer by profession, Luis responds with a decisive punch to the man’s chin. This ends up causing excitement among the onlookers.

The crowd reacts with screams of excitement as the punch knocks the man’s sunglasses off and leaves him dazed. Despite his state, the attacker attempts another punch but misses and is subsequently pushed aside by Luis. The audience’s laughter fills the air as the man falls, with Luis pointing at him, signalling him to stop.

Unfazed, the attacker pursues Luis. He ends up delivering a punch to the back of his head. Luis turns, issuing a stern warning. This finally prompts the attacker to walk away meekly.

Reflecting on the incident, Luis expressed his disbelief at the situation. He admitted: “I think the feeling was kind of ‘oh boy, not again’.”

“It has two million views and comments from all over the world. I can’t stop laughing about all this. I was dressed up like Jesus because my friends told me I look like him, mostly because of the hair. I thought it would be funny because I definitely don’t act like him.”

The video was captioned “Don’t f*** with Jesus.” It quickly gained traction online, amassing 2.7 million views since its posting on February 19.

The Sao Paulo carnival isknown for its association with Lent. It spans 19 days and kicks off the Friday before Ash Wednesday.
