UFC legend claims Elon Musk has no chance to defeat Zuckerberg thanks to BJJ

In the ultimate showdown between two tech giants Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, speculations have been running wild about who would emerge victorious. UFC legend Matt Serra recently shared his thoughts on a hypothetical MMA clash  between the two.

Matt Sera predicted that Mark Zuckerberg would have no difficulty in defeating Elon Musk if the two were to compete. He said to The Post: “I say Zuckerberg wins by a RNC in the first round. I don’t think his [stand up] striking is going to crack an egg, but I think he’s smart and will close the distance in grappling on the ground.”

With approximately one year of MMA training under his belt, Zuckerberg appears to hold an advantage over Musk. Standing at 5 feet 7 inches and weighing around 154 pounds, the Facebook creator also has experience with Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In fact, he has even won two medals in amateur tournaments.

Meanwhile Musk is 6 feet 2 inches, and weighs substantially more. So much so that he pondered just sitting on his opponent.

Elon previously claimed to have tried BJJ, but it didn’t really become a fixture for him.

Serra agrees with Camarillo and said that “smart people tend to do very well with jiu-jitsu.” Additionally, the fact that Zuckerberg maintains excellent physical health is “another check in the box” for him.

Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Zuck performed the ‘Murph’ challenge. This included running a mile, followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups and 300 squats, before hurriedly setting out on a second mile run. He did all of these while wearing a weighted vest of 20 pounds.

On the other hand, Elon Musk stands at 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 180 pounds. He previously confessed: “I wouldn’t exercise at all if I could.” He also previously admitted that “the older I get, the harder [it is] to stay lean, that’s for sure.”

But Musk is skilled in martial arts, particularly judo, taekwondo, and Kyokushin karate. He “briefly” learnt BJJ as a child as well.

The only way for Musk to avoid being defeated by Zuckerberg is to remain off the ground and make use of the environment, according to Serra. He stated: “Musk would have to try to either to work tremendously on his wrestling to keep off the ground or take some lessons in jiu-jitsu. He also needs to develop one hell of a sprawl.”

Talking about the potential matchup between the two, Serra also stated: “People often want to be what they’re not. They’re really smart, nerdy guys, so it doesn’t surprise me that they want to fight in the cage. It’s like living out something their money can’t buy.”
