Elon Musk trains BJJ along with podcaster Lex Fridman

Elon Musk has recently started his training for a potential MMA  showdown with Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook. Musk was seen hitting the practice mats alongside popular Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and podcaster, Lex Fridman.

Fridman, who has also trained with Zuckerberg, expressed his admiration for Musk’s skills, stating, “I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, both standing and on the ground.”

Despite the excitement surrounding their training session, Fridman emphasized that he would prefer if Musk and Zuckerberg focused on martial arts training rather than engaging in an actual duel.

While Musk received positive feedback on his training session, he also received an enticing offer from UFC legend Georges St-Pierre. St-Pierre expressed his admiration for Musk and offered to be his training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg.

Three days later, Musk accepted the offer, recognizing the opportunity to train with a former welterweight and middleweight UFC champion and one of the greatest MMA competitors in history.

The fact that Fridman appears to be in jeans in these shots tell you al you need to know in terms of how random the session was.

The potential bout between Musk and Zuckerberg has generated significant interest, with UFC president Dana White believing it could become the most lucrative event of all time.

White expressed his confidence in its success, stating, “Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this. It could be the most-watched fight in history.”

The comparison was made to the Mayweather vs. McGregor stunt, which broke records and drew massive viewership.

The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg escalated when Musk commented on a post about Zuckerberg’s rumored project called Threads, which aims to rival Twitter. Zuckerberg responded by challenging Musk, saying, “Send me location,” accompanied by a screenshot of Musk’s initial call-out.

Musk’s interest in martial arts is not new, as he has trained in various disciplines such as Kyokushin karate, taekwondo, judo, and briefly in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His enthusiasm for combat sports was evident when he shared a photo of himself engaged in a bout with a sumo wrestler.

Musk even raised the possibility of podcast host Joe Rogan refereeing their potential bout, further fueling the anticipation surrounding this matchup.

The betting odds currently heavily favor Zuckerberg.
