WATCH: Highschooler takes down cop in viral incident

Youth is often synonymous with callousness and bravado. This is likely how a highschooler chose to have a physical altercation with a law enforcment officer on the campus of his high school.

It’s unknown how the confrontation started.

Video showcases a teenaged male student as he’s confronted by a police officer. But while the police officer appears not eager to ramp up the intensity of the altercation the student secures a body lock and lands one of the easiest takedowns to land – and all while wearing crocs.

The police officer appeared to have been accompanied by one other officer.

As the action moved to ground the student tried to ground and pound the officer however he got caught in his jersey and several onlookers jumped in to help the police officer.

A female member of the staff tried pulling away the student in question.

Soon the roles were reversed and the student was grounded and restrained with an officer mounting his legs and trying to control his arms. He was still resisting.

Another Kevlar wearing officer joined in on the action soon after and a school administrator tried to disband the crowd of onlookers.

Student who was filming made a particularly funny comment detailing his arousal at the sight of a confrontation.

In the aftermath, a 15-year-old student from St. Cloud High School was arrested for attacking a school resource officer who intervened in the clash, according to the St. Cloud Police Department.

The student is facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest after grabbing Officer Russell Ball “around the torso,” leading to a struggle on the ground, as stated by Sgt. Wayne Souza.

The statement mentioned that bystanders assisted in bringing the student under control, after which the student was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center in Orlando for processing. The two students involved in the clash, both 14 years old, were not immediately arrested, but similar charges are expected to be filed with the State Attorney’s Office, Souza stated.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Officer Ball has been assigned to St. Cloud High for 12 years, according to the school’s website. Further details were not provided.
