In a surprising incident aboard a recent Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife, intoxicated passengers engaged in a brawl. The disruptive behavior unfolded mid-air, leaving terrified holiday-goers in turmoil as the situation escalated.
Disturbing footage captured the moment around six passengers erupted into a confrontation, hurling expletives and throwing bottles. Children on board were left in tears as the unsettling spectacle unfolded.
Amidst the chaos, a woman can be seen pointing at a man and passionately yelling, “Shut up, shut the f*** up.” The situation intensifies as the man retorts by shouting, “It was f***ing your man.”
Attempts by another female passenger to calm the situation were met with further aggression. The raging woman then fires back, “Shut up you little c***. Shut the f*** up.”
Passengers described the incident to the local newspaper Canarian Weekly as ‘out of control,’ labeling it the ‘scariest flight [we]’ve ever been on.’
Social media posts highlighted the severity of the situation. One passenger shared: “Big group on the flight, fight broken out, bottles thrown, women almost injured. Get this little s*** off the plane… kids crying, everyone in bits! Currently waiting for the police to take some people off the plane then hopefully get to Tenerife. Luckily everyone is okay at the moment.”
As the turbulence escalated, the flight was compelled to make an emergency landing in Porto. This is where local police intervened and escorted the disruptive passengers off the plane.
A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the the incident, stating: “This flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife (25 February) diverted to Porto when a small number of passengers became disruptive onboard. Crew called ahead for police assistance and the aircraft was met by local police upon arrival who removed these passengers before this flight continued to Tenerife. This is now a matter for local police.”
