WATCH: Florida Mom grapples child at the bus stop

In a surprising incident at a Florida bus stop, a 28-year-old mother Tatyana D. Duffy has been apprehended. She was arrested for allegedly instigating and physically attacking one of the students involved in a brawl.

Reports suggest that Duffy is a guardian of one of the students present. She is said to have ‘instigated, jeered and intervened’ in a dispute between two children and ‘battered a juvenile during the incident’.

The Haines City Police Department has formally charged Duffy with battery and contributing to the delinquency of a dependent. Simultaneously, the unnamed juvenile has been charged with battery.

Video footage from the scene captures the tumultuous moment when one juvenile forcefully shoves another amidst a gathering of onlookers, including adults. A female juvenile is then observed repeatedly striking another girl’s head, all while an intervening woman is momentarily restrained.

The woman eventually breaks free, launching punches at a student lying on the ground.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a verbal altercation between the students quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with one juvenile persistently striking another. At this time, Duffy allegedly entered the fray and ended up delivering blows to one of the juveniles.

Expressing grave concern, Chief of Police Greg Goreck issued a statement following Duffy’s arrest. He said: “The involvement of an adult in encouraging and participating in a teenage fight at a bus stop is unacceptable and deeply concerning. This behavior not only escalates violence but also fails our community’s expectation of an adults’ responsibility to help safeguard our children. Our department is taking this matter seriously and will act to prevent such incidents in the future.”

As of now, no court date has been set for Duffy or the juvenile involved in the altercation. The legal proceedings will likely shed light on the consequences they might face for their roles in the disturbing incident at the Florida bus stop.
