According to multiple reports, Gisele Bündchen was not amused by the numerous jokes made about her divorce from Tom Brady during his widely-viewed Netflix comedy roast.
While Brady himself laughed off the harsh roasting from comedians like Kevin Hart, Nikki Glaser, and Drew Bledsoe, sources close to Bündchen state she was “deeply disappointed” by the relentless mocking of their split and her new relationship as per TMZ.
Nikki Glaser said: “Tom, the only thing dumber than you saying yes to this Roast was when you said, ‘Hey, babe, you should try jiu-jitsu.’ I think that was. That’s got to suck, dude. How much would it suck for two? My God. Just knowing your ex-wife’s new boyfriend can beat your a*s while eating hers.”
Jeff Ross went on to say: “Give it up for the Lord of the Super Bowl rings my friend Tom Brady. Yeah. A man who has so many rings, he could melt them down and forge a sword to go on a quest to get his soul back from that jujitsu teacher.”
Kevin Hart went on to say: “But let me tell you something, people. Let me tell you something that’s what you got to do to maintain your happiness. You understand? You sometimes got to f**k your coach. You know who else f**ked her coach? Giselle.”
Many of the jokes poked fun at Brady being left by the supermodel for her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, insinuating Valente could physically overpower the legendary quarterback.
Bündchen was reportedly helping family in Brazil deal with devastating floods when she learned about the harsh divorce ridicule on the Netflix roast special. A source told People magazine that her “priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.”
While a roasting is meant to be disrespectful in good fun, it seems Bündchen did not find the jokes about her personal life to be appropriate, despite Brady’s ability to take them in stride.
