In the world of combat sports, Gabi Garcia is a true force of nature. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom and mixed martial artist stands an imposing 6’2″ and weighs over 200 pounds of pure muscle. Her combination of size, strength, and elite grappling skills make her one of the most dominant female fighters on the planet.

Garcia’s credentials are undeniable – she is a member of the IBJJF Hall of Fame and has made a name for herself globally. American fans got their first taste of her during The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil III, where she served as a guest coach.
While Garcia’s abilities on the mats and in the cage are well-documented, a viral video showcased her ridiculous power in a different setting: an arm wrestling match against MMA fighter Ray Elbe.

Elbe, the boyfriend of MMA star Cris Cyborg, is no pushover himself. A welterweight with over 30 pro fights and a black belt in BJJ, he looked to match Garcia’s vaunted strength. However, the video clearly showed Garcia was on another level.
With locked arms and bulging muscles, Garcia made quick work of Elbe, forcing his arm down to the table in a display of her jaw-dropping power. The moment instantly went viral as fans marveled at Garcia’s dominance over her male opponent.
This was far from the only time Garcia has proven her might against men. She previously teased a grappling match with elite grappler Craig Jones in 2021, and the two ended up having an arm wrestling contest at a press conference.
Now, Garcia and Jones are finally set to grapple for real at CJI, the Craig Jones Invitational, on August 16-17 in Las Vegas. The event offers unprecedented prize money, with a minimum of $10,001 for each competitor and a $1 million grand prize for division winners.
With Garcia’s history of tapping world-class male grapplers, her super-fight with Jones promises to be must-see action. The queen of power meets the king of modern grappling – you won’t want to miss it!
