In a recent video, Tyson Antillon launched a blistering critique of Seth Daniels and the way he operates his jiu-jitsu promotion Fight to Win and the ADCC tournament. Antillon methodically broke down numerous issues he has with Daniels’ business practices and conduct.
One of the major points Antillon hammered was Daniels’ apparent strategy of withholding match information from athletes until the last minute, preventing them from effectively pre-selling tickets and maximizing their cut of the revenue. He argued this seems like an intentional tactic to underpay the competitors.
Antillon also took Daniels to task for his cavalier promotion of ster*id use, suggesting it pressures athletes into PED use and creates an uneven playing field. He questioned why a promoter would so overtly condone PED use.
The video highlighted an egregious incident where Daniels joked about rendering one of his female brown belt students unconscious during shooting for an instructional video. Antillon excoriated Daniels for his complete lack of respect and accountability. This particular incident went viral earlier this year when Craig Jones reposted it after receiving death threats from Daniels.
When it came to Daniels’ involvement with ADCC, Antillon roasted the chaotic organization and production values, having matches start hours late with confusing athlete introductions. He asserted Daniels seems to deflect all criticism rather than owning up to mistakes.
Throughout the video, Antillon highlighted Daniels’ inability to take responsibility, make sincere apologies, and properly treat the athletes and staff. He questioned why ADCC’s affluent promoter Mo Jassim continues employing Daniels given his long track record of issues.
