Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett has been making waves, rising from a relative unknown to become one of the bigger names in the UFC over the past two years. The Scouser, with a professional record of 21-3-0, including a 4-0 record in the UFC, has captivated audiences.
A little while ago, Pimblett took his skills to the West Coast of America, where he visited Camp Pendleton, home of the United States Marines. Known for their physical prowess and rigorous training, the Marines are widely regarded as some of the fittest individuals in the world. But Pimblett, never one to shy away from a challenge, decided to put their abilities to the test. According to a recent post, Pimblett had been promoted to BJJ brown belt at 21 – some 8 years ago. He’s since made it to 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Paul Rimmer.
The 29-year-old Pimblett proceeded to submit 10 Marines consecutively, each one tapping out to his superior grappling and submission techniques. The Scouser’s effortless control on the ground was on full display, as he forced every single Marine to concede defeat.
“I have the balance of a ballerina lad and weigh like a f****** sumo wrestler. You know what I mean, I’m a weirdo lad, proper weirdo. F****** hell lad yous have made me do a big crazy circuit then I’ve f****** rolled every one of yous. What the f*** boys? Meant to be doing a three-mile run today, it’s not happening now. Lad this has been one of my hardest workouts this week, you gang of big b******,” Pimblett said after the impressive display.
Pimblett’s achievement is a testament to his well-rounded skillset and the dedication he has shown in his training. The fact that he was able to submit 10 highly trained and physically fit Marines in a row is a remarkable feat, showcasing his dominance on the ground and his ability to adapt to any challenge he faces.
Pimblett faces Bobby Green at UFC 304 – this bout is reportedly the last on his contract.
