In the main event at UFC Vegas 94, two strawweight contenders, Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba, stepped into the octagon with their sights set on a potential title shot. The stage was set for a thrilling clash, and Jandirova delivered an unforgettable performance.

The fight started cautiously, with both fighters feeling each other out. Lemos, who was coming off a decision victory over Mackenzie Dern and a title challenge against champion Zhang Weili, looked to use her wrestling to gain the upper hand. She landed a powerful double-leg takedown, but Jandiroba, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, was not to be deterred.
The two fighters engaged in a grappling exchange, with Jandiroba attempting a knee bar and Lemos countering with a toe hold. As the round ended, Jandiroba continued to pressure Lemos, looking to force her to carry her weight on the fence.
In the second round, Lemos tried to discourage Jandiroba’s takedown attempts with the threat of her uppercut, but she left her lead leg exposed. Jandiroba capitalized on this opportunity, shooting in and taking Lemos down. The fight quickly returned to the ground, and Jandiroba threatened with a RNC.
Lemos defended the RNC well, but Jandiroba remained relentless. With over 90 seconds left in the round, she transitioned to a lightning-fast armbar, and Lemos had no choice but to tap out. Jandiroba had secured a stunning submission victory in her first main event bout, potentially earning herself a shot at the UFC strawweight championship.
