MMA media personalities Oscar Willis and Ben Davis stepped out from behind the mic and into the ring for a bare-knuckle fight in Marbella, drawing a large crowd at the Marbella Arena.
Willis, a prominent figure at Conor McGregor’s media company The Mac Life and an MMA Awards nominee, faced UFC Fight Pass commentator Davis. Despite Davis’ combat background, Willis dominated the bout, quickly overwhelming Davis with strikes. Davis was knocked down four times before the referee stopped the action, awarding Willis a first-round knockout victory. Conor McGregor watched from ringside, while UFC President Dana White expressed surprise but supported Willis ahead of the fight, wishing him well.
Another friend of Willis’ who chimed in his well wishes was BJJ ace Craig Jones. While Jones is currently occupied exploring the legacy of Pablo Escobar in Columbia he took to social media to support Willis.
Jones was relieved that Willis opted not to compete in BJJ considering he wasn’t quite as great at it as evidenced by the footage of him rolling with Gabi Garcia.
Willis was one of the handful of MMA media memebers who helped support the launch of Craig Jones Invitational.
