UFC hall of famer says Musk has no chance against Zuckerberg because he’s sleeping on Jiu-Jitsu

In a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, UFC Hall of Famer Matt Serra delivered a stark assessment of the potential matchup between tech titans Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, suggesting the Tesla CEO might be underestimating the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

“I’ll tell you right now, if he… if he fought Elon Musk and Elon Musk is sleeping on the Jiu-Jitsu… I know – sometimes when you hear Elon Musk talking about the fighting you’re like oh sh*t… stick to the f**king Rockets buddy!”

Serra stated during the ‘Fight Companion’ segment for UFC 312.

The commentary comes as Zuckerberg has been making significant strides in his martial arts journey. On July 22, 2023, the Meta CEO earned his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under professor Dave Camarillo. Zuckerberg has also been training with renowned practitioners like Mikey Musumeci to enhance his skills.

During his appearance on Episode #2255 of Rogan’s podcast, Zuckerberg shared insights about how martial arts training has influenced his perspective on corporate culture.

“I’ve been surrounded by women my whole life. The masculine energy is good. Society has plenty of that, but corporate culture is really trying to get away from it,”

Zuckerberg explained.

The potential matchup between the two tech leaders gained significant attention in 2023, with UFC President Dana White involved in negotiations that even included discussions about hosting the event at Rome’s Colosseum. Social media personality Jake Paul offered to fund a $100 million charity match, but the anticipated event never materialized.

Meanwhile, the rivalry between the two billionaires has extended beyond martial arts. Zuckerberg recently overtook Musk on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, while Meta’s launch of Threads aimed to compete with Musk‘s X platform, formerly known as Twitter. Their business tension dates back to 2016 when a SpaceX rocket carrying Meta’s satellite exploded during launch, leading to public criticism from Zuckerberg.
