WATCH: UFC’s Caio Borralho defeats Brendan Allen in their Pit grappling bout

In a featured pit submission bout at Karate Combat 53, UFC middleweight Caio Borralho earned a unanimous decision victory over Brendan Allen in their grappling match.

Borralho controlled much of the action throughout the two 5-minute rounds, using strong collar ties and positional control to maintain top position. While Allen had moments of success with takedown attempts, Borralho’s superior grappling shined as he consistently found ways to work to dominant positions including mount and back control.

The Brazilian’s pressure and ground control proved too much for Allen, who was competing just days after a UFC outing. Despite Allen’s wrestling credentials, Borralho’s technical grappling and chain wrestling allowed him to dictate the pace and location of the contest.

After securing the unanimous decision win, Borralho celebrated with his trademark glasses celebration. The victory adds another impressive performance to Borralho’s resume as he continues his rise through the UFC middleweight ranks.

In hisinterview, Borralho thanked the UFC for allowing him to compete and praised Karate Combat for the opportunity. The grappling exhibition demonstrated the high-level submission skills possessed by both middleweights while providing an entertaining style clash for fans.
