Craig Jones has once again taken aim at his former training partner Gordon Ryan, this time sharing a video essay that portrays him in an unflattering light.
The video essay, which appears to be a comprehensive examination of Ryan’s career and personal life, doesn’t shy away from the more problematic aspects of the six-time ADCC champion’s journey to the top (because let’s be real he made up that 7th medal). Jones seized the opportunity to mock Ryan after posts that are basically slamming Jones for his split from what was once B team in Austin.
Jones briefly answered to provocations on the Luke Thomas show saying he ‘refuses to read’ Ryan’s rants until he learns how to use paragraphs.
In the shared essay, Jones is seen stating:
“I mean we used to train together. We used to I wouldn’t say we were friends like we would train together. We wouldn’t hang out after training or anything. So I think it’s like we’re training partners,”
The tension between the two stems from the dramatic breakup of the Danaher Death Squad in 2021, which saw Jones align himself with Nicky Ryan and form the B-Team. Since then Jones has been one of Ryan’s most vocal critics, frequently calling out what he sees as hypocritical behavior and troubling conduct.
Jones has been especially critical of Ryan’s personal life, with Craig making various accusations and insinuations about the circumstances surrounding the team split.
The situation then escalated on social media with Jones sharing the following clip:
“It is also notable that Gordon has never denied the accusations that he is into c******ry, or stated what the reason for the DDS split actually was.”
Followed by these posts:
It’s safe to say that while Jones might be leaving Austin, he’s still on good terms with Nicky Ryan.
The views on the video essay have since balooned. It’s interesting to note this is a revised thumbnail for the video, the original featured Gordon Ryan and a brain and was nowhere near as popular on the platform.
