Izaak Michell Claims Craig Jones Is Having Him Followed in First Statement Following Startling Accusations

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community has been shaken by serious allegations involving Australian grappler Izaak Michell, who was recently expelled from Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu after multiple women reportedly contacted police with claims of assault. Now, audio has surfaced of Michell addressing the situation publicly for the first time.

The audio, released by content creator trainangrymma_, captures Michell describing what he believes is a coordinated campaign against him. In the recording, Michell alleges that Craig Jones has been investigating his personal life, claiming:

“He got my ex wife’s number, he called her to check on her and has an ex soldier following me.”

The release follows weeks of mounting pressure for Michell to respond publicly to the allegations. Earlier this week, trainangrymma_ issued an ultimatum on social media, demanding that Michell confirm an interview time or face the release of additional materials. The post also revealed that Michell had previously reached out privately, asking the creator to stop posting about the legal situation.

“What (Craig) is doing is creating the narrative to make me look very bad. Trying to get absolutely anything on me using his platform and other means. My family is greatly distressed, please if you can remove that last post,”

Michell wrote in a direct message.

“They’re is a lot of trickery going on with this whole situation. And all will be revealed, I just ask for your patience and it the mean time I’m willing to chat to you.”

According to the Simple Man podcast, hosted by Nicky Ryan, Nicky Rod, Damian Anderson, and Ethan Crelinsten, Michell was removed from Kingsway after multiple women made reports to law enforcement.

“Pretty much just ’cause I believe like multiple different women went to the police uh you know claiming that he s**ually assaulted them,”

Nicky Ryan said during the episode, which has since been taken offline.

After leaving the Texas-based academy, Michell reportedly traveled to Thailand, where ADCC Trials were taking place. The podcast hosts questioned his decision to remain overseas.

“It seems like he might be trying to hide out there, but I don’t know,”

one host said.

Jones, who severed ties with Michell years ago over contractual disputes, has been vocal on social media. Responding to trainangrymma_’s post about the audio, Jones wrote:

“Return to the USA and speak to the police. I’ll stop posting about you if you return. I ain’t asking much. Innocent people don’t run.”

Trainangrymma_ also pushed back against Michell’s claim that Jones was responsible for his current situation, writing:

“Izaak believes Craig is the reason why his own life is suffering. He’s deflecting and projecting that onto other people because he’s ashamed of his actions. Craig walked away from Izaak years ago, it was Gordon, John and Garry that were giving Izaak a space to be a predator not Craig.”

The post raised broader questions about accountability within the community:

“How long did they know Izaak was doing this? Who told Izaak to leave and how? We’re they warned?”

Michell, who won the ADCC Asia Trials in the 170 lbs (77 kg) division, has faced professional setbacks before. His U.S. visa was reportedly sponsored by Gordon Ryan, though that sponsorship is believed to have ended following his departure from Kingsway.

Ryan and John Danaher officially cut ties with Michell last week. In a statement, Ryan emphasized that Michell is no longer affiliated with the gym and requested that no further details be made public. At this time, there has been no official confirmation from law enforcement regarding any active investigation.+
