Kyle Boehm Denies He’s Been Kicked Out of 10th Planet San Diego: I’ve Been Asked To Lay Low

Kyle Boehm has released two video statements disputing claims that he was removed from 10th Planet San Diego/Oceanside, stating that his absence is the result of a voluntary, temporary arrangement rather than any formal ban.

“No, I was not kicked out of 10th Planet Oceanside or 10th Planet San Diego,” Boehm said in the video. “I’m temporarily taking a break from the gym.”

Boehm’s account traces the situation back to a personal dispute with a woman  who had alleged that a different BJJ black belt from their team had stalked her. Boehm had made comments on the posts in which said black belt is responding to what Jessie alleged.

According to Boehm, gym owner Geo Martinez then asked him to step back while the matter settled.

“Geo had asked me to just lay low for a while, and I did so,” Boehm said. “I’ll be training back again there soon.”

He claimed that his absence had been cited by those who believe Jessie’s account as evidence that her claims carry weight, and he disputed that interpretation.

“I’m not kicked out of the gym,” he said. “Temporarily not training there because I made the mistake of hooking up with a girl in the gym, which was a mistake, and it turned out to be a huge mistake. We had a big falling out, and that’s why I’m not training there at the moment. But I will be training there again shortly.”

In a second video Boehm addressed the matter in considerably more detail.

“No, none of the statements made about me are true,” he said. “Jessie has once again made some defamatory and illegal statements, might I add.”

Boehm said he entered the public dispute by commenting on posts made by Arman Fathi in his own defense, and argued that Jessie turned her attention toward him as a consequence.

“Jessie is upset with me because I made some comments on Arman’s posts defending himself and clearing the situation up,” he said.

He did not deny that his relationship with Jessie had become contentious. He stated that she subsequently sent him messages he found offensive, and that he responded with insults   something he acknowledged was a mistake.

“So I texted her back, insulting her, basically calling her a (), saying that she was immoral, that she wasn’t going to find anyone, which are all true, but, you know, uncalled for on my part,” he said. “I should have just taken the higher ground and let it go.”

He also acknowledged sending a message warning Jessie to stop contacting him or he would disclose information about her background to others at the gym. Despite the nature of those exchanges, Boehm maintained that his culpability in the broader situation has been overstated.

“That’s literally all that I’m guilty of in this situation is sending mean texts to another member of the gym,” he said.

Boehm recounted Geo’s outreach in straightforward terms.

“Geo hits me up. He says, you know, with all this stuff going down, I’m worried. Just lay low for a while.”

He said he initially pushed back.

“I said, that’s ridiculous. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

But he ultimately agreed.

“I said, fine, I’ll train somewhere else.”

Boehm’s account, however, stands in direct conflict with messages Jessie shared publicly. In those exchanges, Geo Martinez allegedly wrote to Jessie directly:

“I banned Kyle from the gym, just wanted to let you know.”

Messages Geo Martinez allegedly exchanged with Jessie

Gym co-owner Sue was equally direct in her own alleged messages to Jessie:

“He is 100% banned from our schools.”

Sue also reportedly told Jessie that the gym had engaged an HR professional to arrange staff training, and that she was considering implementing a formal policy requiring members to report known inappropriate conduct by anyone at the facility.

The messages attributed to Geo Martinez and Sue were shared publicly by Jessie and have not been independently verified.

Whether Boehm’s stated intention to return to training at the gym will come to pass  or whether the ban described in those alleged messages will hold  remains unresolved. The two sides are currently offering accounts that are difficult to reconcile.
