A former jiu-jitsu instructor based in northern Colorado has been taken into custody following an investigation into multiple allegations of SA involving two minors, Loveland Police announced.
Authorities identified the suspect as Alexander Hawkeye Martinez, who previously served as an instructor at Infinite Jiu-jitsu Academy in Loveland, a city located approximately 50 miles north of Denver. According to investigators, the case was opened after two young individuals came forward with their accounts of the alleged offenses.
Police confirmed that Martinez and those who came forward with allegations knew each other prior to the incidents in question. Investigators stated that the alleged offenses occurred while Martinez was serving in a caregiving capacity, a role that placed him in a direct position of trust and responsibility over the young people involved.
