16 women were set to compete in Medusa 4. Medusa 4 was a flyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament organized by Eddie Bravo’s female-only promotion, Medusa.
The event took place live from the Poliforum in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Fatima Kline and Sofia Landi to Open the Tournament
Fatima Kline, a fast-rising strawweight prospect and winner of the strawweight EBI-rules tournament at Medusa 1, returned for the third time to Medusa.
She faced Argentinian Sofia Landi in the opening round.
Landi holds a 2-0 record in MMA.

Former Invicta FC Champions Zappitella and Salcedo to Compete
Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella and Natalie Salcedo are two of the most experienced MMA pros in the tournament.
Zappitella lost in the opening round of the flyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament at Medusa 3. She was pitted against LFA strawweight Alandria Brown.
Salcedo was is returning from an ACL injury, will be matched up against Kiaya Jackson, who was defeated by Bre Stikk in the finals of the flyweight CJJ tournament at Medusa 3.

Tabatha Watkins and Natalie Salcedo Return to Action
Invicta FC and Bellator veteran Tabatha Watkins and Natalie Salcedo are set to return to competition. Watkins, who has not competed in MMA since falling in the opening round at Invicta FC Phoenix Tournament: Atomweights, will face Gabi Maslanka, a Daniel Gracie Jiu Jitsu product. Salcedo faced Kiaya Jackson.

Alex Enriquez and Sarah Elizabeth Pyles Battle for Supremacy
In one of the most exciting matchups of the tournament, 2022 IBJJF no-gi bronze medalist and 2022 ADCC Open champion Alex Enriquez will battle fellow 2022 ADCC Open competitor Sarah Elizabeth Pyles. Pyles was also a semifinalist of the EBI-rules strawweight tournament at Medusa 2.

In two special matches, 2022 British Open bronze medalist Lilly Wayman will face off against 10th Planet product Marie Perin.
Another 10th Planet grappler, Madelynne Wade, will go against UFC veteran Hannah Goldy. Hannah Goldy went viral recently upon auctioning off worn under garments following her last UFC showing.
