In a series of social media posts shared yesterday, Bird Wiltse provided updates regarding their brother Andrew’s situation on Drummond Island, Michigan, following what they described as a concerning mental health episode that began approximately two and a half months ago.
Most recently, Andrew announced he was waging war on BJJ Fanatics.
In his video, Andrew Wiltse expresses frustration with BJJ Fanatics, alleging that they attempted to damage his reputation and income. He states that under his contract, the instructional content he created remains his intellectual property, with BJJ Fanatics only acting as the hosting platform. Wiltse claims to have started a small claims lawsuit against the company, seeking $10,000 as a settlement to drop the case and cease any future affiliation with them. He asserts that if they pay him the settlement, he will leave the company alone; otherwise, he intends to pursue ongoing negative publicity against them.
Back in September, Wiltse explained his issues with Daisy Fresh.
Despite being heavily involved with Daisy Fresh, Wiltse felt increasingly excluded from activities, trips, and events. He attributes this rift to his willingness to challenge behavior he found “stupid or harmful,” his disagreements over training methods, and his views. He believes a primary reason for the fallout was the Daisy Fresh team’s opposition to him and his training partner, Bird, running their own YouTube channel, viewing it as competition and even banning them from filming in the gym.
An attempt to collaborate with a popular BJJ YouTuber was blocked by Daisy Fresh members who saw the YouTuber as a rival.
Andrew Wiltse is currently banned from majority of his social media accounts, with Youtube as his final platform.
According to the posts, Andrew Wiltse has been taken into custody on Drummond Island, the family’s hometown. While specific details about the circumstances remain unclear, Bird indicated that the arrest may be related to pending warrants and could involve a psychological evaluation.
“I believe it’s for a psych evaluation… but allegedly he had some warrants too,” Bird wrote, noting that they were awaiting confirmation on the exact details of the situation.
The posts also addressed concerns about several dogs connected to the incident. One dog, Luna, reportedly escaped into wooded areas during Andrew’s arrest. Three other dogs – Tom, Riddle, and Hermione – are currently being cared for by Bird’s father. Due to housing restrictions at both Bird’s and their father’s new residences that don’t allow pets, the dogs may need to be temporarily placed in a shelter for rehoming.
Bird expressed optimism that at least one of the dogs would likely be returned to their sister’s care. They emphasized that despite recent events, the dogs “deserve happy families” and new homes.
