Brazilian television unveiled a detailed report on the arrest of Alcenor Alves, a 57-year-old jiu-jitsu coach, accused of SA athletes over a span of 15 years. The revelations, aired nationwide, highlight a troubling abuse of trust and power within the sporting community.

Alcenor Alves was apprehended in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, during a jiu-jitsu tournament—a stage meant to celebrate athletic achievement but now overshadowed by allegations of heinous crimes. According to police, at least 12 men have already been identified, and another six are waiting to give statements. Investigations revealed that the crimes occurred between 2011 and 2018.
