UFC Champ Jon Jones Praises Jiu Jitsu Father For Avenging His Son’s Loss

Jon Jones is very active on social media, often appearing in the most unexpected comment sections. Recently, he engaged with a post by a Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast and father, Erodelosreyes. He sought revenge for his son’s defeat by winning against the boy’s opponent’s father. Jones seemed to be thoroughly entertained by this story.

Erodelosreyes is a dedicated grappler who has involved his son in the sport from a young age. Unfortunately, his son suffered a harsh loss in a local tournament, which deeply affected him. Determined to uplift his son’s spirits, Erodelosreyes made a heartfelt promise.

In a video shared on social media, he is seen sitting in the car with his son. Erodelosreyes vows to defeat the boy’s father who bested his son. The clip then transitions to footage of Erodelosreyes fulfilling his promise. He ended up winning against the man in a subsequent tournament.

It seems like Jon Jones showed his softer side by praising the father’s commitment.

The video went viral, amassing nearly 5 million views and over 250,000 likes. Fans shared Jones’ astonishment and admiration, though some UFC enthusiasts had mixed feelings about the champ’s involvement.

Meanwhile, UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall has once again called out Jon Jones, accusing him of avoiding a match. Aspinall is set to defend his interim title against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. He expressed frustration in a video over Jones’ reluctance to face him.

Earlier last year Gordon Ryan leaked Jon Jones’ plans to retire after facing Stipe Miocic.

Ryan posted on instagram:

Ryan went on to quickly edit the caption:

This was prior to Jones’ injury that sidelined him for almost a year.
