Gordon Ryan proposes settling Nick Rodriguez beef Old School style at a parking lot

Vale Tudo means “Everything Goes”. It was a full-contact combat sport that emerged in Brazil during the 20th century. Initially, it had relatively few rules.

The Gracie family was instrumental in the development and popularization of Vale Tudo. They organized their famous “Gracie Challenge,” where they would invite guys from different martial arts to compete against them.

It’s starting to look this will be the preferred way for Nick Rodriguez and Gordon Ryan to settle their beef.

As a reminder, Nick Rodriguez came close to defeating Ryan at UFC invitational 3. He even got the ADCC victor to trade in his fancy car for a Toyota Corolla.

Rodriguez got particularly under Ryan’s skin for repeated PED use call outs.

Ryan responded to the latest jabs by offering a unique way to resolve their issues. This isn’t the first time Ryan’s proposed such a thing – previously he slapped Andre Galvao and was very close to getting in a scrap with Dillon Danis when they were both coming up.

While Ryan is certainly very marketable and knowledgeable on a variety of topics. His instance that physical attributes don’t matter as much seems worth a side eye. Especially considering Ryan underwent a giant transformation, pun intended, after he first broke out on the scene.

The segment Ryan took offense with featured the simple man podcast hosts talking about him. The co-hosts speculated that the beef will end in an MMA bout between Gordon Ryan and Nick Rodriguez adding that people would be willing to pay to see that.

Rodriguez was confident that he’d win in the exchange and shaded Ryan’s athleticism.

Ryan also subsequently shared a screenshot of his conversation with flograppling staff in which he tried to propose a match against Nick Rodriguez prior to ADCC 2022.
