ADCC veteran Nick Rodriguez tries out for WWE again, Gordon Ryan claims credit

The world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has seen its fair share of rivalries, but none quite like the one between Gordon Ryan and Nicky Rodriguez. The two BJJ maestros have been feuding for years, and every now and then, they take any opportunity to put each other down.

The Latest Chapter in the Feud

The feud between the two intensified after Nicky Rodriguez talked about receiving an offer from the WWE. Gordon Ryan responded by calling him a “fraud” and claiming that he was the one who got Rodriguez a tryout in the WWE.

Gordon Ryan took to Instagram to slam Rodriguez’s claims. He claimed that he got Rodriguez a tryout spot in the WWE many years ago because he used to teach privates to Shane McMahon.

Ryan also said that Rodriguez did one tryout and was cut, and they didn’t call him back. Ryan dismissed Rodriguez’s claims as false and accused him of building his entire career around lies.

Their Rivalry in BJJ

The feud between Gordon Ryan and Nicky Rodriguez is not just limited to their exchange of words outside the ring. They have grappled against each other twice in BJJ competitions, and both times, Ryan emerged as the winner. However, their latest encounter at the UFC invitational 3 was a close call for Ryan. Rodriguez took the match into the EBI overtime and was able to deal some damage after putting Ryan in a toe hold.

Accusations Against Each Other

The bad blood between the two extends beyond their matches. The two used to train together and have accused each other of various things. After their second match at the UFC invitational, Ryan had alleged Rodriguez of greasing. On the other hand, Rodriguez had accused Ryan of using PEDs repeatedly.
