Unhinged ‘Karen’ almost got into a F*ck Around and Find Out match with Maycee Barber, a UFC contender.
Demi Bagby is an influential CrossFit athlete and renowned YouTuber. She recently posted a social media clip where an incident unfolds involving a random =woman who was resting against her car.
Even after Bagby’s repeated requests for her to “get off my car,” the lady boldly looks back at her and insists that she is not breaking any laws.
The lady then threatens to “bust” Bagby in the face a few seconds later. At that moment, the camera pans to show that Bagby is not alone. She is with 14-2 MMA contender and UFC flyweight standout Maycee Barber.
Unfazed, the woman continues her verbal assault and says: “I’d beat both your motherf*cking a**es”.
Fortunately, the situation is resolved without physical altercation.
Maycee Barber is ranked No. 4 in the UFC’s official flyweight rankings, and boasts an impressive record. She has six consecutive victories inside the Octagon. Her notable wins include victories over Miranda Maverick, Montana De La Rosa, Jessica Eye, Andrea ‘KGB’ Lee, Amanda Ribas, and Katlyn Cerminara.
Barber and her sister ran a BJJ academy in Fort Collins after going through the highly suspect Gracie University program.
The two were blue belts at the time and just 16 years old and there was quite a bit of backlash from the community.
Much of the backlash focused on the fact that there was a picture in which Barber wore a black belt – which she obviously didn’t receive.
Barber pivoted to MMA quickly after that.
Barber’s father Bucky Barber explained the situation to Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole in an interview. He said: “At that point, it was, ‘OK, the better we make her as a fighter, the less damage she’s going to take.’ So we started to travel, and we took her literally all over the United States.”
In July 2018, Mayce Barber and Jamie Colleen competed in Dana White’s Contender Series 13. She stopped Colleen in the third round and ended up receiving a UFC contract.
Barber is still listed as a BJJ purple belt under Rener and Ryron Gracie on her official wikipedia.
