Middle school student repeatedly punches girl in front of cheering students in latest incident

A disturbing incident unfolded at Sebastian Middle School, located just outside Jacksonville, Florida. A middle school student was caught on camera assaulting a classmate.

The incident occurred in February but recently gained widespread attention after footage of the attack surfaced on social media platforms. The video was initially shared on X  and captures the incident in vivid detail.

In the video, the assailant is identified as a female student. She is seen approaching her unsuspecting target from behind in a school hallway. Meanwhile, a group of students can be heard in the background, creating a chaotic atmosphere with barking and jeering sounds.

Without warning, the attacker forcefully shoves the target in the back, causing her to stumble. In a desperate attempt to defend herself, the target swings back with a music case she had been carrying. However, her efforts are futile as the aggressor swiftly delivers a powerful blow to her head and sends her crashing to the floor.

As the target lies on the ground defenseless, a crowd of classmates can be heard cheering on the attacker. With no intervention from bystanders, the assailant proceeds to remove her backpack and relentlessly pummel the target’s head and upper body.

Following the disturbing incident, the instigator was promptly disciplined and removed from the school premises. A spokesperson for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis confirmed that appropriate action was taken to address the situation.

After the viral video there were claims the school was attempting to “shove this under the rug” and had neglected to take action, DeSantis’ representative addressed the altercation at school.

The account then posted that te Florida State Board of Education verified that the student had been suspended immediately thereafter.

However, further details regarding the disciplinary actions taken were not disclosed by the St. Johns County School District, which oversees Sebastian Middle School.
