Online videos from a recent street brawl in Los Angeles featuring Bam Margera have emerged.
The 44-year-old celebrity is shown in an altercation with an unnamed guy in a video that TMZ was able to get.
However, Margera asserts that his actions were in self-defense. He took to Instagram to shed light on the incident.
He explained in a post that despite making multiple calls to 911, the police failed to respond to the situation. This left him feeling abandoned and frustrated. He shared a black and white video of himself on the phone as evidence of his attempts to seek assistance.
Magera wrote: “In regards to the bum fight, I called 911 8x times and waited nearly 3 hours and no cops ever showed the f**k up!”
He went on to say that ‘the whole neighborhood’ had pushed him to get into the brawl.
“…and the whole neighborhood told me to go handle it … and then they clapped when I was done because he finally shut the f**k up.”
Bam yelled into his iPhone during the outtake, claiming it had been “two hours” and “you guys have done nothing.”
He went on to warn the 911 operator by saying: “I’m filming this and I’m gonna send it to the news. You guys don’t do sh**.”
In the profanity-filled video, Bam was seen sitting on a sofa wearing lounge trousers and a T-shirt. He looked clearly agitated.
Margera pleaded: “Get a police officer here. Los Angeles Police Department is f*****g worthless. It’s been two hours of us trying to sleep and this dude’s throwing sh*t evverywhere and nobody showed up.”
According to TMZ who spoke with Margera’s manager Mike Quinn, the altercation happened last week.
Quinn said the altercation started when an unknown individual ‘threatened to harm Bam and his entourage outside of the home where Bam was staying.’
Quinn stated: “This individual, who had been pacing nearby for hours relentlessly, and causing disturbances by yelling and overturning trash cans, escalated the confrontation by punching Margera when he stepped outside to smoke.”
Bam also shared: “I’m not going to be threatened or attacked without defending myself and my friends or people trying to just walk by this idiot, I aimed only to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of my crew.”
It was also said that the altercation ended abruptly and that the offender fled the site without coming back.
