Nikola Jokic’s brother appears to PUNCH a fan in the face after Nuggets’ comeback win over Lakers

Recently, a video was released showing one of Denver Nuggets player Nikola Jokic’s brothers striking a fan in the bleachers during Monday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Denver Police urged witnesses to step forward following the video surfacing.

The NBA initiated an investigation into the incident captured in the viral video. The video showed two men involved in an altercation, with Jokic’s wife Nataljia standing close by and holding their little kid.

The footage depicts Jokic’s older brother Strahinja allegedly delivering a punch to the face of a fan amidst the argument. Identified by his ‘Jokic 15’ jersey, Strahinja was previously arrested for assault in 2019. He climbed across a row of chairs to get closer to the fan with his brother Nemanja behind him.

Acknowledging the circulating video, the Denver Police Department emphasized the necessity for eyewitnesses to come forward.

They stated: “The Denver Police Department is aware of the video circulating on social media that appears to have happened Monday night at the Denver Nuggets game. The incident was not reported to Denver Police at the arena or after the game was over, and at this time, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident.”

“The Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department.”

The altercation casts a shadow over the Denver Nuggets’ victory at the Ball Arena. They secured a thrilling 101-99 win against LeBron James’ Lakers, propelling them to a 2-0 lead in the series.

On the other hand, Nikola Jokic has already discussed his rather unique childhood with his elder brother.

In 2017, he revealed to Sports Illustrated that Strahinja had “once held down my arms and threw knives all around my head.”

Jokic previously said in an interview that his upbringing has prevented him from feeling scared before important games. He stated: “Why be afraid? I am playing a game of basketball. I am scared of only one person in my life. That’s my brother. Have you seen him?”
